WWDD

When getting dressed, shopping, or basically doing anything, I oftern ask myself : “What Would Dita Do?” To me, she is the “be all and end all” of all things style. so I am going to leave you on this Friday the 13th with a MargaDita Marguerita! Happy Weekend everyone – enjoy!

“Cointreau Brand Ambassador and international burlesque star, Dita Von Teese has officially launched her latest namesake cocktail, the Cointreau MargaDita, just in time for Cinco de Mayo and the summer soiree season.  This bold and seductive reinvention of the classic Margarita includes Cointreau triple sec, tequila, fresh lime juice, aromatic Monin Rose Syrup for a hint of floral, feminine perfume, and a dash of chipotle powder for an unexpected smack.” ~ dinafierro

“I wanted to keep the integrity of the original margarita recipe, but add a personal touch of my own.  The juxtaposition of floral notes with spicy elements makes for a seductive twist ..” ~ Dita Von Teese

MargaDita Marguerita:

  • 1 1/2 oz  Cointreau Orange Liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz  Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz  Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1/2 oz  Monin Rose Syrup
  • 1 pinch  Chipotle Spice

Add all recipe ingredients into a cocktail shaker or tin filled with ice cubes.  Shake thoroughly and pour into a chilled glass.  Garnish with yellow rose petals.  For extra spicy, add a chipotle pepper to the drink and rim the glass with salt.

For themed parties entertaining is a bit easier by mixing a batch of drinks and placing the pitcher of MargaDitas on your bar to let guests serve themselves.

By the way, get a gander of that dress! I want!!!!
