There comes a time when that “kid” room is looking a little tired and juvenile for the burgeoning teenager and a makeover becomes in order. I included (and sometimes steered) my son into selecting these items because it is in fact his room, he should be comfortable in it and like the way it looks. In addition, I think that it is important to teach him how to choose furniture and colors that work well together while working within a budget.
